First Lady Chinola Fowler was born in Cocoa, Florida and raised in Washington, D.C. She matriculated through the District of Columbia Public School System and later earned her Associates Degree in Nursing from the University of the District of Columbia. Mrs. Fowler is a Registered Nurse and a Delegating Nurse Manager, while also possessing various certificates and awards for her bedside manner and love for patients. During her many years working as a Charge Nurse in the Emergency Room of Howard University Hospital, she was asked to do a television commercial due to the care she exhibited for her patients. Additionally, she has worked at various hospitals and nursing facilities/agencies throughout the Washington Metropolitan area. For the last several years, she has been employed as a School Nurse, within the Prince George’s County Public School System.
