The Bible is God’s Owner’s Manual for mankind. Psalm 1:2-3 (KJV) says that the
“blessed man” is a man who delights in the Lord and meditates in His word day and night,

“And he shall be like a tree planted by the rivers of water, that bringeth forth
his fruit in his season; his leaf also shall not wither; and whatsoever he doeth shall
prosper.”

Human Anatomy and Physiology teaches us that the Vagus Nerve is the longest nerve in
the human body. It is involved in both sensor and motive functions. The Vagus Nerve connects
the brain to all of our major organs. It runs from the base of the brain (brain stem) to the
intestines, sending and receiving messages from deep within the body and to its furthest reaches,
inclusive of the skin.

Some say it is “The Mind-Gut Connection.”

The Vagus Nerve can also be considered the caretaker of the body: Signals/Messages of
safety/security, illness/health, want/wealth, pain/pleasure, grief/happiness, hate/love, etc., travel
through the Vagus Nerve which then triggers reactions in all of the major organs and systems of
the body accordingly.

Due to its extreme sensitivity it is impacted by thoughts, feelings, and emotions, and
positive expressions such as smiling, grinning [positive], laughing, hugging, kissing, hand
shaking, petting/rubbing, empathy, compassion, kindness, gentleness, etc.
One of the most effective methods for healing and toning the Vagus Nerve is to meditate
upon something and/or someone one loves: God and His word.

The Vagus Nerve situated in the center of the body, in the center of Solar Plexus, the
body’s powerhouse, while being attached to all of the major organs and systems of the body, as
“…a tree planted by the rivers of water.,” i.e., the various circulatory systems of the body, is
continuously strummed by our delights (thoughts, feelings, and emotions) and our meditations.
With the Vagus Nerve as the trunk and the twelve Cranial Nerves with which it is attached
serving as the leaves, one can truly say, “the leaves are for the healing of the nation/body.”
